This is one of my standard training rides… and this time is felt a lot easier than it has in the past. Today I was watching my heart rate like a hawk and that made the biggest difference of all — matching my effort and cadence to keep my heart where I wanted it to be was the key.

The ride itself was just riding down Bainbridge road to La Due reservoir. If I had more time (and something to eat along the way) I’m sure I could’ve ridden around it (another 15 miles).

Almost getting back to where I was a few years ago… I didn’t go as far as I usually go, but I had some bigger hills. Knowing that at the end of it I could probably do the whole thing again more than satisfies me. :-)
