Here’s what I’ve noticed so far:
- iPhoto is a great program for managing pictures. I’ve been using ACDsee on Windows for years now, and it’s a lot more straight-forward. Importing pictures from the camera is exactly the way I would’ve expected it.
- Ecto is a cool program. It seems to have problems with images though. It doesn’t want to upload all of them — then links to the wrong image. It is in beta, but it’s seems to be a pretty big flaw.
- There’s a problem with nested lists that I just found while typing this post
- Battery life is as expected.
- Charging seems a tad slow. No biggie. In my experiments for x amount of charging, you get around 2x worth of usage. I’ll take it. (Could it be due to the fact I was running off an inverter? I don’t know)
Overall it seems to be a pretty big win.
If you’ve not already downloaded it, your favorite dashboard widget should be iStat (Google it). It tells you all kinds of useless data, like the temperature of your hard drive. I bring it up because I think you’ll find that most of the charging time is for the last 10%.
