I think I found what I was looking for. The government database of all of their camping info! Now all I have to do is write something to parse through 24 gig of XML and spit out a GPX of it.

The real problem that I mentioned before is that the camp ground info in both MapSource and Microsoft Streets & Trips seem incomplete. The site we stayed at in the Allegheny two weeks ago, Tracy Ridge, doesn’t show up in either. WTF? That’s not how I want to roll. (they both list a lot of KOAs and other more expensive camps, but skip many of the government ones)
I’ll post something when I have it. Hopefully it’ll be useful to someone other than me too. I’m taking Friday off work, so that should give me plenty of time to whip something up!
